The great BioQuest
During the Cambridge Festival 2022 the Gurdon Institute promoted an activity for families and science aficionados: The Great Bioquest.
It was a city exploration spanning across three trails:
the worm (c. elegans)
the fly (d. melanogaster)
the frog (x. laevis)
Every step of the trail was a science landmark around the city of Cambridge and was characterised by a developing stage of its guide animal and a riddle to solve to proceed along the route.
The drawings were used both in print and on a web app where you could play the quest, learn about the history of science around Cambridge and ultimately learn how these animals can give scientists clues about human development.
